Matthew Kornegay,
MD

Matthew Kornegay, MD

Dr. Kornegay is board certified in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, in addition to his experience treating infants, children and adults. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy and the MUSC College of Medicine. Dr. Kornegay completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He practiced adult and pediatric medicine in Birmingham, Alabama until he joined Plantation Pediatrics in 2008. Over the last 10 years, he has intermittently provided hospital-based and after-hours adult care. In 2018, he expanded his practice to care for all ages in his primary office at Generations Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. His clinical interests are broad, with special concern in continuum of care from infancy and childhood to adulthood. He is a dedicated husband and father of four children. Dr. Kornegay is also active in his local church and community.

Kirsten Stuart,
Office Manager

Kirsten Stuart

Kirsten has over 14 years’ experience in patient care and administrative experience and is ready to serve you. She is proud to say the she was born and lives in Charleston. Kirsten is a committed wife, mother, and step mother. She loves spending time with her precious puppy and laid-back cat. She enjoys DIY projects, as well as boating and gardening. She is involved in the local school and nonprofit work.

RMA

Rachel Dirks, RMA

Rachel is a longtime resident of the Lowcountry and active member of American Medical Technologies as a registered medical assistant since 2015. She has worked with Dr. Kornegay since 2016. She is a committed wife and mother of two. She is also an active member in her local church.
